2:1 Bonus Issue: THIS rice exporter company fixed record date

2:1 Bonus Issue: Rice exporter GRM Overseas has fixed the record date for its upcoming bonus issue.

The company informed stock exchanges that its board has approved a bonus issue in the ratio of 2:1. This means shareholders will receive two new fully paid-up equity shares of face value Rs 2 each for every one existing equity share held.

As per the exchange filing, December 24, 2025, has been fixed as the record date for the bonus issue. Shareholders holding GRM Overseas shares on or before this date will be eligible to receive the bonus shares. The record date helps the company identify eligible shareholders for the corporate action.

On Friday, on the BSE, the stock opened lower at Rs 470.00 compared with the previous close of Rs 467.95. It later recovered losses and touched an intraday high of Rs 475, marking a gain of about 0.82 per cent from the last closing price. The stock settled at Rs 471.75, up 0.27 per cent. The company’s market capitalisation stood at around Rs 2.89K crore.

On the NSE, GRM Overseas shares began the session at Rs 470 against a previous close of Rs 470.50. During the day, the stock moved between an intraday high of Rs 475 and a low of Rs 469.05. The counter has been rising for the last five sessions and has gained about 4.21 per cent during this period.

From a technical perspective, the stock is trading above its 5-day, 20-day, 50-day, 100-day and 200-day moving averages, indicating a positive near-term trend.

According to BSE Analytics, GRM Overseas has delivered strong long-term returns. The stock has risen about 11,541.09 per cent over the last 10 years and 1,351.10 per cent over five years. However, its three-year return stands at 28.60 per cent, lower than the Sensex return of 37.41 per cent during the same period. In the past one month, the stock has corrected by around 4.77 per cent.
