Central and state authorities have announced seven new trains connecting Bihar, including three Amrit Bharat trains - one each from Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur and Darbhanga.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary will launch the seven services from the Patna Junction railway station. The Railway Minister will join the event through video conferencing.

Currently, the Indian Railways operates 12 Amrit Bharat trains connecting different parts of the country. Out of those, 10 originate from Bihar.

With the launch of three new Amrit Bharat Express trains, the total number in this category will rise to 15, including 13 from Bihar.

With the launch of the Nawada-Patna passenger service through Sheikhpura-Barbigha-Bihar Sharif, the long-standing dream of residents of Barbigha-Asthawan-Bihar Sharif rail section - cleared recently following a successful CRS inspection - will finally come true. The Patna-Islampur and Nawada-Patna passenger trains will run through the new line Jat Dumri-Fajilchak-Top Sarathua-Daniyawan, providing train connectivity to more people in the region.

The Muzaffarpur-Charlapalli Amrit Bharat Express is set to be the first such train from Muzaffarpur to South India, while the Chhapra-Anand Vihar train will be the sixth Amrit Bharat Express connecting Bihar with the national capital.

Developed by Indian Railways, the Amrit Bharat Express has become a symbol of modernization of the rail system.

These trains are not only fast and affordable but also equipped with state-of-the-art features such as semi-automatic couplers, fire detection systems, sealed gangways, and talk-back units.

For the first time, advanced technology has been adopted even in non-AC coaches for passenger safety.
