8th CPC Salary Hike Projections for Level 8 Employees: The 8th Pay Commission is yet to be formed, but lakhs of central government employees from all ranks have fixed their gaze on developments related to it. If we talk about Level 8 employees, these are Group B gazetted officers.
They can be section officers (CSS, Railway Board), assistant audit officers/senior section officers, enforcement officers/accounts officers (EPFO), technical officers – B/scientific officers – SB, or assistant section officers (CSS).
As per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix, the starting salary for Level 8 employee is Rs 47,600, and the maximum is Rs 1,51,100.
There are 38 other slabs between them based on increments.
They are Grade Pay 4800, Pay Band 2 (9300-34800) employees.
