8th Pay Commission Salary Calculations: The 8th Pay Commission (8th CPC) can be formed anytime soon. Once established, it will start preparing a report, which will have recommendations for salary and pension revision for central government employees and pensioners.
Once recommendations get approved by the Cabinet, the salary and pension will be revised.
For employees, not just their basic pay will be revised, but along with that, a number of allowances will also be changed.
House rent allowance (HRA), transport allowance (TA), and child education allowance (CEA) are a few among tens of allowances that may be revised, removed, or added.
Not just that, but employees' contribution to their National Pension System (NPS) and the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) will also be revised.
If you are a Grade Pay 2000, 2800, 4600, 5400, or 6600 employee, what may be your estimated revised salary, HRA, TA, NPS, and CGHS amounts at 2.08 and 2.57 fitment factors?
See our estimates to know.
We are taking HRA as 24 per cent (for X class cities) of the basic salary, and TA meant for higher TPTA cities (in the range of Rs 900 to Rs 7,200 for different level employees).
While NPS will be 10 per cent of the basic salary of the employee, CGHS will be as per current rates.
We will pick 2 basic salaries from each of the Grade Pay 2000, 2800, 4600, 5400, and 6600.
