The results were announced after market hours on Thursday.

Revenue rose 5.7% year-on-year to ₹3,557 crore, exceeding the CNBC-TV18 poll estimate of ₹3,436.2 crore. However, net profit declined 18% to ₹433 crore from ₹528 crore a year earlier, missing the estimate of ₹442.6 crore.

EBITDA fell 17% to ₹545.6 crore compared with ₹656.7 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Operating margin contracted sharply to 15.3% from 19.5%, and was below the 16% estimate.

The company said profitability was impacted by material-cost inflation and higher labour expenses, including costs linked to new labour codes. Despite margin pressures, order momentum strengthened significantly.

Fourth-quarter orders surged 52%, marking the highest Q4 order intake in five years, supported by broad-based demand and the timing of certain large orders.

For calendar year 2025, ABB India reported its highest-ever orders at ₹14,115 crore and revenue of ₹13,203 crore, both up 8% year-on-year. Profit before tax margin stood at 16.9% for the year, while return on capital employed was 21%.

Managing Directorev Sharma, Managing Director, said the company’s record order book and revenues reflected disciplined execution, even as volatile input costs weighed on margins.

The board recommended a final dividend of ₹29.59 per share for the year ended December 31, 2025, subject to shareholder approval.Continue ReadingTagsABB IndiaearningsQ4 resultsshare market today
