In an exchange filing on Wednesday, February 19, ACME Solar said the project will supply hybrid power during peak hours and is scheduled to commence commercial operations by February 27, 2028. The PPA tenure is 25 years from the date of signing.
The project is part of SECI’s Hybrid Tranche-VI and carries a tariff of ₹4.72 per unit. It includes a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) to ensure an assured peak power supply. The agreement requires a minimum annual Capacity Utilisation Factor (CUF) of 50% and mandates meeting 80% of peak power requirements on a daily basis.
The company said that the connectivity for solar, wind and BESS components has already been secured. The tariff has been adopted by the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC), while the relevant State Electricity Regulatory Commission has approved the power procurement plan.
The project has been financed by Power Finance Corporation (PFC) as part of an existing sanctioned Phase II portfolio, with transmission timelines aligned to the commercial operation date under the PPA.
Following the signing of this agreement, ACME Solar’s total PPA-signed portfolio has increased to 5,820 MW, including 1,240 MW signed in the current financial year. The company has a total renewable portfolio of 8,071 MW across solar, wind, hybrid, storage and firm-dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) solutions.
The company clarified that the contract does not involve any related-party transaction or promoter group interest.
