Advance tax collections up nearly 3% so far in FY26

The government's advance tax collections rose 2.9 per cent for the financial year till September 17 over the corresponding period a year ago, official data showed on Thursday.
Out of the direct tax collections, corporate tax revenue increased 6.1 per cent on a year-on-year basis to Rs 3.52 lakh crore.
The exchequer's personal income tax collections saw a decline of 6.1 per cent.
