The company informed the stock exchanges on Tuesday that the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract was from the private client for the design, construction, rehabilitation, and upgradation of a stretch of approximately 117km of National Road NR1.

It said major portions of the project — around 93.47% as of December 31, 2025 — had been completed and opened to traffic nearly two years ago. Certain balance portions were awaiting land handover.

Afcons Infra said the company believes the termination by the client is inconsistent with the contractual terms and applicable law. The company said it is continuing to pursue its contractual and legal remedies.

The company went on to add that the dispute is project-specific and does not impact its overall order book, operational capability or business outlook. The termination is not expected to have any material adverse impact on the company's ongoing operations or execution of other projects, it said.

Afcons Infra will continue to keep the stock exchanges updated of any material developments in the matter, the filing stated.

Shares of Afcons Infrastructure ended the previous session 0.9% lower at ₹310 apiece. The stock has declined 9% in the past month and 28% in the last six months.
