After 1:5 stock split, this capital market company announces Rs 14 dividend payout—Do you own?

1:5 Stock split, Rs 14 Dividend: Shares of Computer Age Management Services Ltd (CAMS) came under pressure on Wednesday, October 29, despite reporting stable quarterly numbers and announcing an interim dividend for its shareholders. The stock fell nearly 7 per cent intraday, extending its year-to-date losses.

On the NSE, CAMS shares slipped 6.7 per cent to touch an intraday low of Rs 3,718.10. At around 1:53 pm IST, the stock was trading 3.74 per cent lower at Rs 3,836, down Rs 149.20 for the day.

So far in 2025, the stock has lost around 24 per cent of its value, underperforming the broader market.

The company’s board has approved an interim dividend of Rs 14 per share. The record date for determining eligible shareholders has been set as November 7, 2025, while the payment date is expected to be on or before November 26, 2025, as per the exchange filing.

For the quarter ended September 2025 (Q2 FY2026), CAMS reported a 5.4 per cent year-on-year increase in net profit to Rs 115 crore, compared to Rs 109 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue from operations rose 6.4 per cent YoY to Rs 377 crore. Operating profit (EBITDA) climbed 7.2 per cent YoY to Rs 143 crore. The EBITDA margin improved to 38 per cent, up from 37 per cent a year ago, indicating higher operational efficiency.

Earlier this month, CAMS announced a 1:5 stock split. Company stated that each equity share with a face value of Rs 10 will split into five fully paid-up shares of Rs 2 each. The move was aimed at improving liquidity and retail participation in the stock.

CAMS is India’s largest mutual fund registrar and transfer agent, providing infrastructure and processing solutions for mutual funds, alternative investment funds, and other financial intermediaries. The company plays a critical role in the capital market ecosystem, serving top asset management companies and depositories.
