US President Donald Trump on Friday announced that Washington and Beijing had reached an agreement on TikTok, adding that he would meet Chinese President Xi Jinping at the APEC Summit in South Korea later in October and visit China “early next year.”The announcement came after the two leaders spoke by phone, their first conversation in months. Trump described the call as “very productive,” noting that discussions touched on trade, fentanyl trafficking, efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine war, and final approval of the TikTok deal. He further confirmed that Xi would travel to the United States “at an appropriate time.”“The call was a very good one,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, stressing that the two sides would continue speaking in the weeks ahead.
