After formulating major trade deals with the European Union (EU) and then with the US, India is looking at another major free trade agreement (FTA). According to sources, talks are set to begin soon for another major trade agreement, with the Indian side set to sign the terms of reference (ToR) for a deal with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries on Thursday. If this happens, it will mark the signing of a third major trade deal within a span of 10 days.

Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal is likely to be present at the signing of the deal, said the sources.

GCC member countries comprise Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). All six nations are the original members since 1981.
