Bollywood star Akshay Kumar used Saturday's screening of his most recent movie, Kesari Chapter 2, in Mumbai to speak to the crowd and express his strong disapproval of the recent Pahalgam terror attack.

The actor, who was joined by his co-star Madhavan, talked openly about the rage that many people are experiencing and compared his feelings to those of his character in the movie.

Speaking to the gathered audience, Akshay Kumar expressed, “Unfortunately aaj bhi humare sab ke dil mein woh gussa phir se jaga hain. Aap sab log achchi tarah se jaante he main kis cheez ki baat kar raha hoon. Aaj bhi hum un terrorists o ko ek hi baat kehna chahenge. Jo maine iss film mein kahi he, kya [Even today we are feeling the same anger all over again. All of you know exactly what I am talking about. Today also I want to say the same few words to the terrorists which I have said in the film. What?]"

In response, the audience passionately echoed a powerful dialogue from the movie – "F*** you."

The peaceful Baisaran valley, a popular tourist destination, was the scene of Tuesday's terror attack in Pahalgam, which left 26 people dead. On social media, Akshay Kumar had previously expressed his shock and grief over the incident, denouncing the attack and sending his sincere condolences to the families impacted by this terrible occurrence.

The Case That Shook the Empire by Raghu and Pushpa Palat served as the inspiration for Kesar Chapter 2. The movie tells the story of C. Sankaran Nair, a lawyer who battled the British Raj to reveal the truth about the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Nair, a significant historical figure renowned for his bravery and unwavering dedication to justice, is portrayed by Akshay.

The audience responded strongly to the actor's comments during the screening, which emphasised the film's emotional depth and the more significant themes it tackles.
