In a recent reveal, behind-the-scenes photos surfaced on Sabyasachi official Instagram page showing a never-seen-before element of her look: a delicate, hand-embroidered veil that was ultimately dropped.

Styled in a custom Sabyasachi floral saree with a sweeping trail, Alia stunned at the event with her understated elegance.

Her look paid homage to Indian tradition with a modern twist, featuring pastel hues, intricate threadwork, and minimal accessories.

The floral embroidery was a celebration of craftsmanship, perfectly complemented by her centre-parted hair styled into a messy bun. But what most people didn’t know was that the stylist originally planned for Alia to wear a veil as part of the ensemble.

The veil, as seen in the BTS images, was an exquisite piece adorned with traditional handwoven embroidery—meant to reflect India’s cultural heritage on one of the world’s most glamorous fashion stages.

The plan was for Alia to walk the carpet with it draped gracefully over her head, evoking a nostalgic yet regal vibe. The BTS shots capture her in that planned look—soft lighting, poised expressions, and a beautifully blended makeup palette to match the delicate fabric.
