The management had fixed February 26 as the record date for its stock split. Angel One had earlier announced a stock split in the ratio of 1:10. This means that one share of the company, currently carrying a face value of ₹10 each, will be split into 10 shares of ₹1 each.

Shareholders of Angel One, who have the share in their demat account as of closing on Wednesday, will be eligible for the stock split. Those who purchase the shares on Thursday, after the adjustment, will not be eligible for the same.

For example, if an investor has 100 shares of Angel One, currently with a face value of ₹10 as of closing on Wednesday, the 1:10 split would mean that those 100 shares will be split in to 1,000 shares of ₹1 each. The value of the shares will remain the same as the stock price will adjust in proportion to the split ratio.

This is the first and the only stock split that Angel One has and will be carrying out for its shareholders. This is also the first such corporate action that the company has carried out for shareholders. Earlier, it has paid dividends on a regular basis to shareholders.

Since November 2020, Angel One has paid nearly ₹200 per share as dividends to its shareholders.

Shares of Angel One are currently trading little changed at ₹2,454.9. The stock has risen 11% over the last 12 months, but is down nearly 45% from record high levels.Continue ReadingTagsAngel Oneshare market todayStock Split
