Anushka Sharma has earned praise from Sonal Chauhan for bringing out husband Virat Kohli's spiritual side.

Indian cricketer Virat Kohli, who was known for his aggressive side on the field, has calmed down over the years, and many feel that it is his wife and actress, Anushka Sharma, who has had a calming effect on him.

In an interview with Filmgyan, actor Sonal Chauhan praised Anushka and said she is 'the right woman' for Virat Kohli.

During the course of the interview, Sonal was asked what she would say to Virat Kohli if she unexpectedly ran into him.

The actor said, “I would say, Jai Shri Ram and Har Har Mahadev, since he's right now being very religious. I've seen a lot of his reels where he's exploring that spiritual side of his.”

She mentioned Virat's previous assertion that he was not spiritual at all, and Sonal added, "The right woman in his life is definitely bringing out the spiritual side in him. When you're surrounded by the right people, positive people, it reflects on your personality. I think she's a calming effect in his life."

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli started dating in 2013 and apparently parted ways for a brief period in 2016. The pair reconciled after Virat defended her on social media.

They got married in Italy in December 2017. Anushka gave birth to their first child, daughter Vamika, in January 2021. They welcomed their second child, son Akaay, in February 2024.

Anushka was most recently seen in the 2018 film Zero, where she played the major role. Chakda Xpress, her biopic of cricketer Jhulan Goswami, concluded filming in 2022.
