Anushka Sharma turned 37 on Thursday, May 2, and the internet lit up with love and wishes from fans and friends. The actress, who has mostly stayed away from the limelight in recent times, marked the occasion by sharing a sweet picture on Instagram. Dressed in a simple pink kurta, Anushka looked radiant as she smiled for the camera, surrounded by vibrant bouquets of flowers. Along with the photo, she thanked everyone for the warm birthday messages, writing, “Thank you for the birthday love.”

On the same day, her husband and cricketer Virat Kohli also joined in the celebrations online. He posted an intimate photo from the birthday party and penned a heartfelt note that quickly won over fans. In his post, Virat wrote, “To my best friend, my life partner, my safe space, my best half, my everything… We love you so much more every day. Happy birthday my love.” The romantic gesture melted hearts on social media, making their bond once again the talk of the internet.

Anushka and Virat’s love story began in 2013 on the sets of a TV commercial. The two kept their relationship private before tying the knot in a dreamy ceremony in Italy in 2017. They became parents to their daughter Vamika in January 2021 and welcomed their son Akaay in February 2024. Last year, the family moved to London, where they’ve been enjoying a quieter life.

On the professional front, Anushka is all set to return to acting with Chakda Xpress, a biopic based on the life of Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami. The film, which marks her comeback after six years, will be released on Netflix. Anushka was last seen on screen in Zero (2018) alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. While the release date for Chakda Xpress hasn’t been confirmed yet, fans are already eagerly waiting for her return.
