Revenue for the quarter declined by 6.5% from the same quarter last year to ₹215 crore from ₹229.6 crore last year.
Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation (EBITDA) for the quarter declined by 3% from the same quarter last year to ₹48 crore from ₹49.3 crore.
EBITDA margin remained stable at 22.27% from 21.47% last year, while net profit declined by 5.5% to ₹24 crore from ₹25.4 crore in the year-ago quarter. Favourable revenue mix drove margin expansion during the quarter.
The company received orders worth ₹238 crore during the quarter, taking the standalone order book to ₹1,916 crore at the end of the September quarter.
As of the quarter, India contributed to 85.8% to the overall topline, while exports contributed 14.2%.
"India’s defence sector is all set, with a 15-year roadmap in place that outlines greater indigenization, the adoption of next-generation communication and warfare systems, and the development of anti-drone technologies. With rising focus on exports and R&D investments, these trends align with Astra’s vision to strengthen its role in India’s defence and aerospace growth," SG Reddy, Astra Micro's MD was quoted as saying.
Shares of Astra Microwave are down 3% after the results announcement at ₹1,014.8.
