Atlanta Electricals shares list at 14% premium; slightly below Anil Singhvi’s expectation

Atlanta Electricals Listing Today: Atlanta Electricals shares made a notable stock market debut, listing at a 14 per cent premium over the IPO price, after the issue was oversubscribed 70.63 times in the primary market. The Rs 687.34-crore IPO was open for subscription between September 22-24.

On the NSE, shares were listed at Rs 857 each, up 13.66 per cent from the issue price. The IPO price band had been set at Rs 718-754 per share. Meanwhile, on the BSE, shares listed at Rs 858.10, a premium of 13.81 per cent, taking the company’s post-listing market capitalization to Rs 6,598.50 crore.

The listing came slightly below expectations set by market analyst Anil Singhvi, who had projected the stock to debut in the Rs 860–875 range and recommended a stop-loss of Rs 825 for investors, citing the strong subscription response.

The three-day IPO recorded an overall subscription of 72.16 times. The portion reserved for Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs), excluding anchor investors, was subscribed 194 times, while non-institutional investors subscribed 56 times. Retail investors contributed to an 11x subscription. Shares were offered in a price band of Rs 718–Rs 754 per share, with eligible employees receiving a discount of Rs 70 per share. Each share carries a face value of Rs 2.

As per BSE and NSE, the shares will be available for trading in a special pre-open session from 10:00 IST. IPO allotment was finalised on September 25, and demat accounts of successful applicants were credited on September 26. Unallotted shares were returned on the same day.

Trading members have been notified that Atlanta Electricals’ shares will be listed in the ‘B’ Group of Securities.

Atlanta Electricals is among India’s largest manufacturers of power, auto, and inverter duty transformers by production volume as of FY2025. The IPO’s strong subscription across investor categories indicates considerable market interest ahead of the debut.
