However, two-wheeler exports rose 4% to 1,29,322 units, offering some offset.By Asmita Pant May 2, 2025, 10:32:40 AM IST (Published)1 Min ReadBajaj Auto reported a 6% year-on-year decline in total sales for April 2025, with combined two-wheeler and commercial vehicle volumes at 3.65 lakh units, compared to 3.88 lakh units in April 2024. A CNBC-TV18 poll had estimated the sales number to come in at 3.85 lakh units.
The drop was primarily led by weak performance in the domestic two-wheeler segment, which fell 13% to 1,88,615 units, down from 2,16,950 units in the same month last year.
However, two-wheeler exports rose 4% to 1,29,322 units, offering some offset.
Commercial vehicle sales held steady in the domestic market at 32,000 units, while exports in this segment grew 11% to 15,873 units. Total commercial vehicle sales rose 3% to 47,873 units, up from 46,467 units last year.
Overall, domestic sales declined 11% year-on-year, while exports saw a 4% rise.
The shares of the company slipped on Friday, falling as much as 1.88% to ₹7,879 apiece. The stock has fallen over 9% in the year so far.
