BEML announces second interim dividend, fixes record dateThe record date is set for May 15, 2025.By Meghna Sen   May 9, 2025, 12:41:09 PM IST (Updated)1 Min ReadState-owned Bharat Earth Movers (BEML) Ltd. has announced a second interim dividend of ₹15 per equity share (150%) on face value of ₹10 each for the financial year 2024-25.

Record date for the said dividend has been set as May 15, 2025, the company said in an exchange filing on Friday, May 9.

In the last fiscal, BEML Ltd. has declared an equity dividend amounting to ₹35.50 per share.

BEML's December quarter results were weak, although lower costs contributed to the operating performance of the company.

BEML's net profit nearly halved from the same quarter last year to ₹24.4 crore. It had reported a profit of ₹48.2 crore during the same quarter last year.

Revenue for the quarter also fell by 16.3% to ₹876 crore, while the figure in the base quarter stood at ₹1,047 crore.

BEML's Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation (EBITDA) for the quarter increased by 8% from the year-ago period to ₹60.6 crore, while margins expanded to 7%, a 160 basis points growth from 5.4% last year.

A drop in other expenses, along with employee benefit expenses also contributed to the improvement in margins for BEML during the quarter.

Shares of BEML Ltd. are currently trading 0.82% higher on Friday at ₹3,038.60.
