Bengaluru-based earplug maker set to foray into smartphones soon; when can you expect first device?

Wobble Smartphone: Bengaluru-based earplug maker Wobble on Tuesday, October 28, announced that it will soon enter the smartphone space as it is all set to launch its first mobile phone in India next month. The launch event is scheduled to take place in New Delhi on November 19.

Anand Dubey, CEO of Indkal Technologies, said: "After establishing Wobble as a trusted name in displays, we’re excited to step into the smartphone space with a device that’s bold, powerful, and deeply connected to the needs of today’s young, expressive consumers."

"The smartphone is designed for those who create, express, and live unapologetically," he added.

Last month, Wobble, the in-house technology brand from Indkal Technologies, expanded its Maximus series TVs with the launch of the Maximus Series 116.5-inch Google TV 5.0 in India. It is India’s biggest television ever, featuring a 116.5-inch screen, the company claimed. The series combines the successful QLED + MiniLED display technology with Google TV 14 powered by Android 5.0. According to the company, it has a peak brightness of 2000 nits, HDR performance with Dolby Vision Atmos, and 144Hz native refresh rate capability.

The 116.5-inch Maximus series TV features QLED + MiniLED display technology, a first for this size in India. According to the company:

• Quantum dot color reproduction makes colors more natural and vivid.

• MiniLED backlighting provides excellent brightness and contrast.
