Bengaluru Power Cut, July 17: If you live in Devanahalli or Cooke Town, be prepared for power cuts over the coming days. The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) has announced planned electricity outages across several areas of Bengaluru from July 17 to July 24.

These scheduled blackouts are necessary to carry out crucial upgrades to the city’s power infrastructure, especially along the high-voltage transmission lines that feed parts of Bengaluru Rural.

According to BESCOM's notification, residents in Devanahalli and parts of Bengaluru Rural will face power outages daily between 12 noon and 4 pm from July 17 to 24. The cuts are part of an effort to replace conductors along the 66 kV Doddaballapura–Devanahalli line, which connects to the 220 kV Doddaballapura power station.

This project is being carried out under the supervision of Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) and will affect multiple 66/11 kV substations.

What this means for you: If you live in or around Devanahalli, plan your workday around the blackout window. Charging devices, stocking up on water, and avoiding high-dependence electrical tasks during the noon to 4 pm period are recommended.ಬೆಸ್ಕಾಂ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ವ್ಯತ್ಯಯದ ವಿವರ
