Activision has officially rolled out the mid-season update for Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3, dubbed Season 03 Reloaded, introducing significant gameplay improvements, a return to the fan-favourite Verdansk map, and major updates to ranked play. Released on April 30, the update brings fresh content, tactical changes, and long-requested quality-of-life features aimed at both casual players and competitive fans.
Verdansk gets new life
One of the headline changes in Season 03 Reloaded is the expansion of Verdansk. Players will now be able to explore the previously inaccessible east wing of the Train Station, adding new loot zones and combat possibilities. Additionally, the moving train is back—this time carrying a respawning Recon Contract, giving squads more incentive to battle for control.
Vertical Ascenders also return across the map, enabling faster access to rooftops and elevated areas. Their placements are based on prior seasons, and developers have promised to tweak them based on player feedback and match data.
Ranked Play overhaul
Ranked Play sees major adjustments in this update, especially for Battle Royale (Trios) on Verdansk. The player count has increased from 120 to 150, creating a more intense and competitive environment. The Skill Rating (SR) system has been rebalanced with higher SR limits for eliminations, now capped at 200 per match instead of 150.
Several items have been banned to maintain gameplay balance—such as Bandolier and Ammo Satchel—while launchers have been unbanned to provide more counterplay against vehicles. The Alertness perk is also back in play, and players can now buy the Trophy System from Buy Stations to aid with vehicle rotations.
Two limited-time modes
Two time-bound game modes have also been introduced. High Trip Resurgence offers standard Resurgence mechanics with an added psychedelic flair, while Massive Resurgence enables 120-player lobbies and quicker engagements, capitalising on redeployment timers.
Events and a new SMG
Season 03 Reloaded includes two events—High Art and Blaze of Glory. High Art runs from May 1–15 and unlocks the new Ladra SMG, a fast-firing, low-recoil weapon ideal for close-quarters combat. Blaze of Glory follows from May 6–15 and lets players collect Blaze Bucks in exchange for perks and cosmetic rewards.
Quality-of-life improvements
Gameplay tweaks include better UI cues like loadout indicators, expanded death recap info, and customisation tools such as favourite operators and random skin options. Equipment and killstreaks like C4, Drill Charges, and Sentry Guns have been tuned for balance.
With Verdansk’s return, revamped ranked systems, and a trove of performance upgrades, Season 03 Reloaded positions Warzone for a strong second half of the season.
