Coal India Dividend 2025: Maharatna PSU declares 102% payout for shareholders in Q2FY26 results - Check record date

Coal India Q2 Results: Coal India has announced its Q2 FY26 results for the quarter and half-year ended September 30, 2025. The maharatna PSU has also declared an interim dividend for shareholders.

The company has approved an interim dividend of Rs 10.25 per equity share of Rs 10 each, which translates to 102.5 per cent payout for shareholders.

"The Board of Directors at its meeting held on date has inter alia, declared 2nd Interim Dividend for the Financial Year 2025-26 @ Rs 10.25/- per equity share on the face value of Rs 10/- as recommended by the Audit Committee of CIL at its meeting held on date", the company said in exchange filings.

The interim dividend will be paid to shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members or in the list of Beneficial Owners maintained by the Depositories.

The record date for this dividend has been fixed as Tuesday, 4th November 2025. Shareholders holding shares as of this date will be eligible to receive the payout.

Payment of the 2nd interim dividend for FY26 shall be made by 28th November, 2025. Shareholders can expect to receive the interim dividend shortly after the record date, as per regulatory timelines.

Coal India has maintained a strong dividend payout track record over the past two years. In FY25–26, the company declared a final dividend of Rs 5.15 per share on August 21, 2025, and an interim dividend of Rs 5.50 earlier that month.

Earlier in the year, it announced another interim dividend of Rs 5.60 on January 31, 2025, and Rs 15.75 on November 5, 2024.

For FY24, Coal India had declared a final dividend of Rs 5 per share on August 16, 2024. Altogether, the company has paid a total dividend of about Rs 31.9 per share during this period, reaffirming its position as one of the highest dividend-yielding PSU stocks in India.
