This represents a marginal growth of 0.5% compared to the production of 61.8 MT during the same period last year.

Among its subsidiary companies, NEC witnessed a rise in production with a growth of 171.9%, albeit from a smaller base. NCL also recorded a healthy growth of 3.6% in its production. However, some subsidiaries experienced a slight dip in production, including CCL (-2.1%), WCL (-0.7%), and SECL (-0.8%). ECL and BCCL showed modest growth of 1.5% and 1.6% respectively, while MCL maintained its production level compared to last year.

Coal India's total off-take for April 2025 was 63.4 MT. This indicates a decrease of 1.2% compared to the 64.2 MT off-take in April 2024.

Individual subsidiary performance in terms of off-take varied. CCL and NCL registered positive growth of 1.2% and 2.0% respectively, while WCL also saw a growth of 2.7%. On the other hand, ECL (-3.4%), BCCL (-7.2%), SECL (-2.6%), MCL (-2.8%), and NEC (-50.0%) experienced a decline in off-take compared to the corresponding period last year.
