IPL 2025, CSK vs PBKS: Yuzvendra Chahal turned the Chennai Super Kings vs Punjab Kings contest upside down with a hat-trick in match no. 49 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. The leg-spinner trapped Anshul Kamboj, Deepak Hooda and Noor Ahmad for his hat-trick. Earlier in the same over, he also got the better off MS Dhoni.

It all happened during the 19th over of the first innings when CSK were cruising towards a commanding total against the Punjab Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

With the second hat-trick of his IPL career, Chahal became on the third bowler with more than one hattrick in the tournament history joining the elite list of Amit Mishra and Yuvraj Singh.

"Feeling very good, it was the 19th over and in front of me was Mahi bhai, felt it could go either way, but the plan was to go for wickets. Five fielders were inside and the plan was to bowl on the stumps and also to bowl wide, not bowl easy balls and play with the batter's mind. It came from the memes and I had planned to do this celebration if I take a five-fer or a hat-trick," said Chahal after the first innings. (More to follow)
