The Delhi Chamber of Trade and Industry (CTI) on Monday launched a protest campaign urging a complete boycott of goods imported from China and Turkey.
The initiative was formally kicked off from the Kashmiri Gate Market located in the national capital which one of the prominent commercial hubs.
Addressing the gathering, CTI Chairman Brijesh Goyal called for a total halt to trade with the two countries.
"We appeal to all trader associations and business groups in Delhi to immediately cease all forms of trade with China and Turkey," he said.
The CTI has reached out to over 700 trader associations across Delhi, urging them to join the movement and refrain from selling or importing goods originating from the two nations.
According to the CTI, the protest will be expanded to more than 100 markets across the city in the coming days as part of a broader effort to raise awareness and promote local alternatives.
