Dabur Q4 Results: Slight miss on profit and revenue; declares final dividendThe board has recommended a final dividend of ₹5.25 equity share for the financial year 2024-25. Record date for the said dividend payment will be informed in due course of time.By Meghna Sen May 7, 2025, 4:21:34 PM IST (Updated)2 Min ReadHomegrown FMCG major Dabur India Ltd. reported its March quarter results on Wednesday, May 7, where its net profit of ₹312.7 crore was slightly low than expectations of ₹329 crore. On a year-on-year basis, the company's profit declined by 8.4%.
Revenue for the quarter was flattish from last year to ₹2,830.14 crore. The figure was slightly below expectations of ₹2,840 crore.
Dabur's Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation (EBITDA) declined by 8.6% year-on-year to ₹426.8 crore, which was below expectations of ₹429 crore, while margins stood at 15.1% from 16.6% last year and was marginally better than the CNBC-TV8 poll of 15%.
FMCG demand trends remained subdued during the fourth quarter and full year 2024-25.
Dabur's Foods business reported an over 14% growth during the quarter, while the Skin & Salon business grew by 8%. The Shampoo business ended Q4 with an around 4% jump. The Badshah portfolio recorded around 11% volume growth during the quarter.
Dabur reported market share gains across 90% of its portfolio.
"Despite facing some pressures in the India business, our international business enabled us to successfully navigate the complex external environment. Our international business achieved 19% constant currency growth in the fourth quarter and 17% during the full year. We expect consumer demand in India to recover progressively in the coming quarters, both in urban and rural markets," said Dabur India CEO Mohit Malhotra.
The board has recommended a final dividend of ₹5.25 equity share having face value of ₹1 for the financial year 2024-25. Record date for the said dividend payment will be informed in due course of time.
Shares of Dabur closed 0.12% lower ahead of the earnings announcement at ₹480.
