For the past four consecutive days, Delhi’s air quality has remained in the very poor category, raising serious health concerns for people living in Delhi-NCR. The pollution levels have worsened the city’s air, making it unsafe to breathe, especially for children and the elderly.
Today, as per the data of Central Pollution Control Board (CBCB), Anand Vihar recorded an alarming AQI of 414, while nearby areas like Loni and Ghaziabad also reported very poor air quality levels, showing no signs of improvement yet.
Several areas across Delhi, including Sector 116, Sector 62, Chandni Chowk, CRRI Mathura Road, Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range, Jahangirpuri, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Burari Crossing, Wazirpur, and Vivek Vihar, are currently reporting AQI levels ranging between 260 and 360. These figures indicate that air quality remains in the 'poor' to 'very poor' category.
While some regions are slowly slipping toward the 'very poor' zone, many others are alarmingly close to the 'severe' category, reflecting the worsening pollution levels across the city.
