The Regional Meteorological Centre located at Alipore, Kolkata, indicated that all districts in North and South Bengal might experience light to moderate fog on Sunday and even on Monday morning.

Due to the fog, visibility may be reduced from 999 to 200 meters. The fog will be lessened from Monday afternoon onwards.

The conditions are suitable for very thick fog over the entire state, particularly in Southern Bengal districts.

The official from MeT Department commented, "However, there will also be another temperature drop when the weather clears up."

It is worth mentioning that thick fog has caused Prime Minister Narendra Modi's helicopter not to land on Saturday at Taherpur, in Nadia district, which was the site of his planned public meeting.

In other districts of the state, temperatures have also decreased. The minimum temperature in Kolkata on Sunday morning was 14.4 degrees Celsius, which is 0.7 degrees below normal.

On Saturday, the highest temperature recorded in Kolkata was 20.7 degrees Celsius, which is 5.4 degrees below normal.
