A Dubai-based recruitment agency sparked a wave of interest and online chatter after posting a high-paying job listing that many described as a dream opportunity.

Royal Maison, a boutique recruitment firm specialising in domestic staffing for elite and royal households in the Middle East, published a job advertisement on Instagram seeking candidates for two full-time house manager roles based in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The salary for each position was listed as AED 30,000 per month—approximately Rs 7 lakh—translating to an annual package of nearly Rs 84 lakh. The figure is comparable to salaries offered in top-tier corporate roles in India.

“We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated full-time house manager to join our prestigious team. This role offers an attractive salary of 30,000 AED per month, reflecting our commitment to attracting the best talent in the industry,” the agency wrote in its post.

According to the listing, the positions are with VIP clients described as "prominent businessmen with families," rather than celebrities or public figures. The roles involve overseeing daily operations in luxury residences, supervising staff, managing household budgets, coordinating maintenance tasks, and ensuring the homes operate to "the highest standards of service."

The agency further elaborated on the expectations in a video caption shared via Instagram: “Job Opportunity: Full-Time House Manager. Urgent Hire: We need two house managers for VIPs based in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Salary is 30,000 AED per month.”

The post rapidly went viral across social media platforms, with users from around the world expressing astonishment at the pay package. Several joked about abandoning their current careers to pursue the opportunity. One user wrote, “30,000 AED, I would leave my current job and get into hospitality.” Another commented, “Seems very high and considering tax is negligible… must be a huge house with a lot of expectations, is there a job description please?”

Addressing the online speculation regarding the authenticity of the salary offer, Royal Maison responded directly in the comment section: “Not every. But those two clients, yes. And the clients are demanding.” The agency maintained that the positions were legitimate and reiterated the high expectations associated with such appointments.

The official job description further detailed the required qualifications and responsibilities: “Ideal candidates will possess strong organisational skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Your responsibilities will include supervising staff, coordinating household maintenance, managing budgets, and ensuring that all household functions run smoothly.”

Royal Maison, which provides both part-time and full-time domestic staffing services, requested interested applicants to apply by submitting their CVs directly and advised them against making phone enquiries due to a high volume of responses. “Please refrain from calling, as we are currently managing a high volume of inquiries,” the agency wrote.
