Market Closing Bell: The BSE Sensex closed at 82,000.71, up 142.87 points or 0.17 per cent on Thursday, while the NSE Nifty50 settled at 25,083.75, gaining 33.2 points or 0.13 per cent. This marked the continuation of a positive momentum in the markets.

Among the top gainers on the Sensex were Bajaj Finance, ICICI Bank, and Reliance Industries, which supported the index’s upward movement. The broader market showed mixed trends as investors remained cautious amid global cues.

The rally reflected a sustained buying interest in banking and energy sectors, contributing to steady gains across the benchmark indices.
