Strong central bank buying and sustained inflows into gold-backed exchange-traded funds (ETFs) are fueling the rally.
According to the World Gold Council, Indian gold ETFs saw net inflows worth USD 902 million in September 2025, a 285 per cent jump from USD 232 million in August.
This was the fourth consecutive month of inflows, with all months of 2025 (except March and May) recording positive traction.
Manoj Kumar Jain, Prithvi Finmart, said, “Gold and silver gained in a highly volatile session amid safe-haven buying. Strength in the dollar index could limit upside in the short term. Some profit-taking is visible at current levels, but corrections can be viewed as buying opportunities from a longer-term perspective.”
He expects gold to trade in the range of USD 3,910–4,140 per ounce globally, with support at USD 4,030–3,994 and resistance at USD 4,088–4,120.
Silver is expected to move between USD 45.90–50.00 per ounce, with support at USD 48.40–47.70 and resistance at USD 49.20–49.60.
On the MCX, Jain pegs gold support at Rs 1,22,400–1,21,650 and resistance at Rs 1,24,000–1,24,800. For silver, support lies at Rs 1,47,000–1,48,500, with resistance at Rs 1,51,500–1,52,800.
He advises traders to wait for corrective dips before entering fresh long positions and to avoid short selling.
