The company is entering the market in partnership with STC Auto Solution Private Ltd.

As part of this expansion, Greaves Electric Mobility is launching its flagship electric two-wheeler, Ampere Nexus, in Nepal. Ampere Nexus is India’s first electric two-wheeler recognised by the Asia Book of Records for conquering 70 hairpin bends of Kolli Hills, considered one of South India’s challenging routes.

The company said the product is suited to meet the evolving two-wheeler demand of customers in Nepal, addressing the country’s dynamic terrain, climatic and driving conditions.

Engineered for performance, durability, reliability and comfort, the Ampere Nexus offers a practical mobility solution for Nepal to handle steep gradients and inclines, uneven roads, high-altitude temperature variations, and urban traffic.

The scooter combines torque delivery with a stable ride setup and LFP battery, enabling confident uphill climbs, smooth acceleration in stop-start traffic, and improved control across varied terrains.

The Ampere Nexus had succeeded in conquering Shipki La Pass in Himachal Pradesh at an altitude of 13,200 feet besides climbing Kolli Hills at 3,900 feet with 70 hairpin bends.

Vikas Singh, MD and Chief Financial Officer, Greaves Electric Mobility, said, "Nepal presents a unique mobility landscape with steep, rugged terrains, and intensive daily usage. Higher altitudes and a growing EV infrastructure in the country naturally draw demand for safer BMS, stronger built quality, and products that outlast."

The Ampere Nexus comes equipped with multiple features, such as a large 7-inch TFT touchscreen with Nex.io, which makes full-screen map mirroring possible for seamless riding connectivity and navigation. This also ensures riders get real-time assistance for turn-by-turn directions, distance to the next turn, and ETA.

The Nexus electric scooter also supports call connectivity, real-time vehicle monitoring, and music control — keeping riders connected throughout the ride without any distraction/down time. Further, the Ampere Connect Companion app enables smart pairing, tracking, saving, battery health and more– delivering a confident EV riding experience.
