Here's a look at these stocks in greater detail:HDFC Bank | Retail shareholders sold HDFC Bank shares worth ₹9,361 crore during the quarter by selling 9.61 crore shares. HDFC Bank's retail shareholders own 127 crore shares of India's largest private lender, down from 136 crore they owned at the end of June. HDFC Bank shares were down 5% during the quarter.Adani Power | Retail shareholders also sold Adani Power shares worth ₹2,229 crore, selling 15.48 crore shares during the quarter. At the end of September, retail shareholders own 77.09 crore shares of Adani Power from 92.58 crore shares earlier. Shares of Adani Power saw a 24% surge during the quarter.Dixon Technologies | A stock that elucidates much retail interest was also part of the selling list of retail participants during the quarter. Retail sold 11.27 lakh shares of Dixon Technologies worth ₹1,859 crore, bringing their total holdings down to 55.86 lakh shares from 67.13 lakh shares earlier. Dixon Technologies shares rose by 9% during the quarter.State Bank of India | If retailers sold India's largest private lender, they sold shares of India's largest lender as well during the September quarter. Retail participants sold 2.17 crore shares of SBI worth ₹1,787 crore during the quarter. The total retail shareholding in SBI is down to 52.8 crore from 55 crore earlier.Tata Steel | The Tata Group stock was sold by retail shareholders during the September quarter. Retail participants sold nearly 11 crore shares of the company, bringing their total holdings down to 209.4 crore from 220.2 crore earlier. Tata Steel shares worth ₹1,760 crore during the quarter, when the stock rose 5.6%.Nestle India | Four consumption stocks feature next in this list, starting with Nestle India, whose shares fell 6.5% during the September quarter. Retail shareholders sold 1.21 crore shares of the company worth ₹1,422 crore during the quarter, taking the total shareholding down to 16.4 crore from 17.6 crore earlier.Hindustan Unilever | The recently announced demerger has kept HUL in focus but the stock rose 10% during the September quarter. Yet, 52.4 lakh shares were sold by the retail shareholders of India's largest FMCG company during the quarter. The value of the shares sold is worth ₹1,334 crore and the total shareholding is now down to 23 crore from 23.53 crore.Varun Beverages | Retail investors also sold shares of PepsiCo's bottling partner during the quarter. Shares worth ₹1,297 crore were sold during this period, with 2.68 crore shares being sold. The total retail shareholding in Varun Beverages is down to 15.57 crore from 18.25 crore earlier. The stock was down 3% during the quarter.Eternal | Shares of Eternal had a good September quarter with a 23% surge. Retail shareholders chose to book profits by selling shares worth ₹1,256 crore during the quarter. 4.06 crore shares were sold by retail shareholders, bringing down their total holdings down to 49.03 crore from 53.09 crore earlier.Canara Bank | According to Prime Infobase, retail shareholders sold Canara Bank shares worth ₹966 crore during the quarter, bringing down their total holding to 67.42 crore shares from 75.98 crore shares earlier.
