Hero VIDA VX2 Launch Ex-Showroom Price Details: New Delhi-headquartered Hero on Tuesday launched the VIDA VX2 Evooter--an electric scooter--at the starting prices of Rs 59,490 and Rs 99,490 for the battery-as-a-service (BaaS) and non-BaaS variants. Actor Anil Kapoor became the first customer of the stunning electric two-wheeler at the launch ceremony, receiving the vehicle keys from Hero MotoCorp Executive Chairman Pawan Munjal. VIDA, Hero’s electric vehicle and emerging mobility solutions arm, has coined the term EVOOTER (a portmanteau of the terms ‘EV’ and ‘scooter’) for its latest electric two-wheeler, aimed at describing the combination of “the sustainability, intelligence, and performance of an EV” and “the comfort, design, and everyday practicality of a scooter”.

This VIDA EVOOTER, said the auto maker, “delivers the best of both worlds redefining how modern India moves”, which is “smartly, responsibly, and with purpose”.

The electric two-wheeler comes with removable batteries, boasting range to the tune of 92-142 kilometres.

VIDA offers a “pay-per-km subscription” model aimed at eliminating the barrier of high upfront costs for the customer.

The VIDA VX2 boasts the capability to charge from zero to 80 per cent in 60 minutes, according to a press release.

According to VIDA, the BaaS package offers a host of additional customer benefits, such as complimentary battery replacement if the performance falls below 70 per cent, and access to VIDA’s nationwide fast-charging network during the subscription period.
