Uber had a year of milestones in India in 2025, with all kinds of transportation needs from daily office commutes and late-night airport runs to intercity road trips and pet-friendly rides. The beginning of the year sees Uber India unveiling some of the most important points from its yearly data report, How India Ubered, which gives a thorough interpretation of the Indian customers’ movements through cities and states during the previous year.
The report showing the changes in travel habits, the peak hours for booking, and the rapid growth of the cities, and the electric and premium mobility—has emphasised Uber’s growing importance in the Indian mobility.
More Indian users used Uber in the year 2025 than in any other year. The total Uber trips amounted to 11.6 billion kilometres which comes to a 26.5 percent rise when compared to 2024. To give an idea of the magnitude, the total distance covered is equal to more than 3.2 million trips from Srinagar to Kanyakumari or nearly 8,840 such trips per day.

While Uber’s footprint continued to grow nationwide, five cities stood out for ride volumes:
Based on average driving speeds recorded during trips, these cities topped the list for the fastest-moving traffic conditions in 2025:
Intercity travel remained a key use case, especially for leisure and short getaways.
Mumbai – Pune
Delhi – Agra
Bangalore – Mysore
Lucknow – Kanpur
Ahmedabad – Vadodara
Tourist destinations such as Agra, Mysore, Puri, and Lonavala emerged as the most frequented via Uber Intercity.
