The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has issued a notification for the recruitment of Junior Engineers (Civil) for the year 2025. A total of 508 vacancies have been announced across two departments: the Public Works (R&B) Department and the Jal Shakti Department.

The official notification, released on 25 April 2025 under Advertisement No. 03 of 2025, is available on the JKSSB website, jkssb.nic.in. The online application process will open on 5 May 2025, and candidates will have until 3 June 2025 to submit their forms. Applicants are advised to complete the process well before the deadline to avoid any last-minute issues.

Out of the total vacancies, 150 posts are available in the Public Works Department, while 358 posts are in the Jal Shakti Department. Candidates interested in applying must meet the eligibility conditions mentioned in the detailed notification.

To apply, candidates will need to fill out the online form on the official website and pay the required application fee through Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card. The application fee is non-refundable and must be paid to successfully complete the form submission. Applications without the prescribed fee will not be accepted.

The selection process for the Junior Engineer posts will involve two stages: a written examination followed by document verification. The written test will consist of objective-type, multiple-choice questions set in English. Each correct response will carry one mark, while a penalty of 0.25 marks will be applied for each incorrect answer. The duration of the exam will be two hours.

Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for document verification. They must present original certificates along with self-attested photocopies and a copy of the online application form during the verification process.

JKSSB has advised candidates to read the complete notification carefully before applying, to ensure that they meet all eligibility criteria and understand the application and selection processes.
