Hyundai Motor Company has taken the wraps off its latest electric performance machine, the IONIQ 6 N, at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed. This global debut marks a new milestone in Hyundai N’s electrification strategy, combining race-ready performance with everyday usability.
The IONIQ 6 N follows in the footsteps of the IONIQ 5 N, which debuted in 2023, and further cements the brand’s push into the high-performance electric vehicle (EV) segment. Rooted in N’s motorsport heritage and guided by the “Corner Rascal, Racetrack Capability, and Everyday Sportscar” philosophy, the IONIQ 6 N promises an electrifying driving experience both on and off the track.
Powered by a dual-motor setup producing 650 PS (478 kW) and 770 Nm of torque, the IONIQ 6 N sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 257 km/h. It features an enhanced N Battery Management System, designed for optimal thermal control during drag, sprint, and endurance events — allowing drivers to unlock maximum performance with minimal lag time.
Suspension and chassis upgrades — including new stroke sensing ECS dampers and a redesigned suspension geometry — improve handling dynamics without sacrificing ride comfort. The car’s aerodynamic profile, featuring a swan-neck rear wing and wider fenders, boosts downforce while reducing drag.
At the heart of the IONIQ 6 N’s immersive experience is Hyundai’s advanced vehicle control software. The car offers a suite of interactive features like:
These tools, combined with real-time performance analysis, aim to elevate both professional and enthusiast-level driving.
The IONIQ 6 N debuts a new Performance Blue Pearl exterior paint that adds a deeper, refined tone to Hyundai N’s signature color. Customers can further personalise their vehicles with optional N performance parts, developed from Hyundai’s racing experience, to enhance both aesthetics and performance.
Hyundai N has set up a major presence at Goodwood this year, including a grandstand near the iconic Hillclimb start line. Visitors can experience the IONIQ 6 N, IONIQ 5 N, and IONIQ 5 N TA Spec up close, including exclusive versions with drift specs and N performance add-ons.
A highlight of the festival is the much-anticipated ‘N Moment’ demonstration run on July 10 — a synchronised showcase featuring Hyundai’s entire high-performance EV lineup. Vehicles such as the WRC Rally 1 Hybrid, i30 N, RN24, and several variants of the IONIQ 6 N will race up the hill in a dramatic display of speed and control.
With the launch of the IONIQ 6 N, Hyundai has once again pushed the limits of EV innovation. The model not only offers thrilling performance but also demonstrates how electric cars can deliver true driver engagement. The unveiling at Goodwood marks a defining moment for Hyundai N, signaling a bold future where electrification and performance go hand in hand.
