Tensions between India and Pakistan have reached a critical stage, with the Indian Armed Forces intensifying their military response under the ongoing Operation Sindoor.

In a major development, the Indian Navy attacked Pakistan's naval base using MAG-29 from INS Vikrant, launching a powerful offensive from the Arabian Sea, targeting Karachi port, one of Pakistan's most strategic locations.

The attack is part of a coordinated multi-force operation by the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force in response to continued provocations.

The Indian Armed Forces have shot down a second Pakistani F-16 fighter jet. This comes after the first F-16 was downed during earlier.

In response, India launched 100 missiles across the border, striking multiple high-value Pakistani targets. Several of Pakistan’s air defence systems, including one in Lahore, were destroyed in targeted precision strikes.

Earlier this week, Indian forces had launched ‘Operation Sindoor’, destroying nine terrorist camps located in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and deep within Pakistani territory. This retaliatory operation came in response to a wave of terror attacks and ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC).

Over the past 14 days, Pakistan has reportedly violated the ceasefire more than 60 times, with heavy shelling recorded in Kupwara, Uri, and Akhnoor. India deployed the S-400 missile system, highlighting its advanced strategic capabilities.

Despite the rising conflict, political unity within India remains strong. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi expressed support for the central government, stating, “We are with the Modi government in this critical time.”

Following India’s missile strikes, Pakistan has imposed Lockdown in the neighbour country and curfews in several regions.

On Thursday, Pakistan launched a series of air strikes using drones and missiles targeting military and civilian areas in Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, and Rajasthan. The Indian Air Defence System intercepted all incoming threats, preventing any major damage. The attacks triggered blackouts and emergency sirens across multiple regions, with residents advised to remain indoors.

In the Jammu region, eight missiles aimed at Satwari, Samba, RS Pura, and Arnia were successfully neutralized. Simultaneously, Indian forces thwarted further attempts to strike military bases in Pathankot and Udhampur. Drones were also shot down near Jammu airport, with blackouts reported near the Vaishno Devi Temple, and sirens sounded in Srinagar, Punjab, and Rajasthan.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh convened a high-level meeting with the chiefs of the Army, Navy, and Air Force to assess the national security situation. Strategic response plans and infrastructure protection measures were discussed, ensuring India remains fully prepared to defend its sovereignty.
