Infosys share buyback record date: Infosys shares were trading lower on Friday, November 7, 2025, ahead of the company’s upcoming share buyback record date. The stock slipped up to 1.15 per cent to hit an intraday low of Rs 1,449.35 on the BSE. At 11:29 AM, Infosys was quoting at Rs 1,463, down 0.25 per cent, while the BSE Sensex was trading 0.6 per cent lower at 82,809.14.
The IT major on Thursday announced that it has fixed Friday, November 14, 2025, as the record date for its Rs 18,000-crore share buyback programme announced in September.
In its regulatory filing, Infosys said, “The company has fixed Friday, November 14, 2025, as the record date for determining the entitlement and names of equity shareholders eligible to participate in the buyback.”
The company further clarified that promoters and the promoter group have decided not to participate in the buyback, and their shareholding has not been considered for computing the entitlement ratio.
For the July–September quarter (Q2FY26), Infosys posted a 13.2 per cent year-on-year rise in net profit to Rs 7,364 crore, supported by strong large-deal wins and broad-based growth across sectors. Revenue grew 8.6 per cent year-on-year to Rs 44,490 crore, surpassing market estimates.
On a constant currency basis, Infosys reported 3.7 per cent growth, outpacing TCS but trailing HCLTech’s 5.8 per cent. Wipro’s revenue fell 2.6 per cent, while LTIMindtree reported a 4.4 per cent rise.
The company also raised the lower end of its FY26 revenue growth guidance to 2–3 per cent in constant currency, from the earlier 1–3 per cent, reflecting growing confidence in deal momentum.
Infosys’ board had declared an interim dividend of Rs 23 per share, with October 27, 2025, as the record date. The dividend payout is scheduled for today, November 7, 2025.
