Latest reports by News18 says that Pakistan has deployed fighter jets to guard Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the key meeting of Cabinet Committee on Security in New Delhi on Wednesday. This was the second CCS meeting since the Baisaran terror attacks that killed 26 men, mostly tourists in picturesque Pahalgam.

The Punjab government has announced plans to deploy anti-drone systems along the Pakistan border adjacent to the state. According to the Chief Minister's Office (CMO), this move aims to thwart ongoing attempts to smuggle weapons and narcotics using drones from across the border. The advanced anti-drone technology will enable police and security forces to detect, track, and neutralize any unauthorized drone activity in real time, significantly enhancing border security and preventing cross-border conspiracies.

The upcoming meeting is expected to focus on key economic and food security matters after the series of Cabinet meeting in wake of Pahalgam attack.
