The company said Vinay will continue in his current role until December 31, 2025, to ensure a smooth and orderly transition, giving the board sufficient time to complete the succession process.
In a filing to the exchanges, JSW Energy said it has initiated a search for a suitable replacement, evaluating both internal and external candidates. The company added that details of the appointment will be disclosed once the selection is finalised.
Vinay has held several key roles across the JSW Group. He began as Head of Group Investor Relations, later moving to JSW Steel where he led mergers and acquisitions as well as corporate finance.
