In a livestream on Wednesday, April 30, Kanye West once again expressed his displeasure with the custody agreements he has with his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian. The rapper talked candidly about feeling disconnected from his kids in a video that Hollywood Unlocked posted — North (11), Saint (9), Chicago (7), and Psalm (5).

“[DJ] Akademiks put that battery in my back, bro. ‘Cause I was in the airport by myself … I’mma go get these kids, man!” West declared in the livestream. “I’mma go get these kids, bro. I’m talking to the lawyers — it gets to the point where I don’t lose my f***ing mind where I got to get used to not seeing my kids.”

Though Us Weekly reached out to Kardashian for comment, she has yet to respond publicly. West has previously been outspoken about feeling marginalised in his role as a father. In a now-deleted March social media post, he wrote:

"I DONT WANT TO JUST ‘SEE’ MY KIDS. I NEED TO RAISE THEM. I NEED TO HAVE SAY SO OF WEAR [sic] THEY GO TO SCHOOL AND WHO THEIR FRIENDS ARE AND WHOS [sic] HOUSES THEY SLEEP OVER WEATHER [sic] MY DAUGHTERS WEAR LIPSTICK AND PERFUME. ALL THESE RIGHTS HAVE BEEN TAKEN FROM ME BY THE KARDASHIAN MOB HULU AND DISNEY AND THE BIGGER AGENDA TO USE THE SELECTIVELY BRED BLACK CHILDREN TO BE PLATFORMS TO INFLUENCE BLACK PEOPLE.”

According to Us Weekly, Kardashian has reportedly been considering filing for full custody, citing concerns about West’s unpredictable online behaviour. “She is in a very tough position when she really has to coparent with him,” one source explained. “Right now he is very distracted … but the safety of her kids is what is motivating this consideration.”

Another insider added that Kardashian is “worried” his erratic conduct could negatively affect their children.

Despite past tensions, Kardashian has spoken publicly about shielding her kids from online drama. In a 2022 podcast appearance, she said, “In my home, my kids don’t know anything that goes on [in] the outside world... I will protect that to the end of the Earth as long as I can.”
