Kaveri Seed Company Ltd. on Monday, February 9, posted a mixed performance for the year-on-year period, with a decline in net profit despite strong growth in revenue and operating earnings.
The company’s net profit fell 15.6% to ₹13 crore, compared with ₹15.4 crore in the corresponding period last year. Revenue from operations, however, rose 20.8% year-on-year to ₹210.2 crore, up from ₹174 crore.
Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) jumped 50.9% to ₹21.1 crore from ₹14 crore a year earlier, aided by improved operating efficiency. EBITDA margin expanded to 10%, compared with 8% in the year-ago period.
Shares of the company are trading at ₹873.35 apiece, down 1.46% for the day as of 2.40 pm.
