In a statement, the company said its civil division won a prestigious contract for civil and structural works of a 150 MW thermal power plant from a leading private player in India. The transportation segment bagged new orders under the government’s Train Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) programme, also known as Kavach, aimed at enhancing rail safety.

In the transmission and distribution (T&D) segment, KEC received orders for the supply of towers, hardware and poles in the Americas and the Middle East. Meanwhile, the cables and conductors business secured multiple supply contracts in India and overseas.

“The Civil business has further expanded its presence in the Buildings & Factories segment by securing an order for civil and structural works of a thermal power plant and widened its customer base with the addition of a reputed client," said Vimal Kejriwal, MD and CEO, KEC International.

The transportation business continues to gain momentum in the prestigious TCAS (Kavach) segment, with orders aimed at enhancing the safety of Indian Railways through world-class technology, he added.

This comes shortly after the company’s September 23 announcement, where KEC secured new orders worth ₹3,243 crore in its T&D business, including its largest-ever EPC order to date. The orders included 400 kV transmission lines in the United Arab Emirates and the supply of towers, hardware and poles across the Americas.

With these orders, the company’s year-to-date (YTD) order intake now stands at approximately ₹12,800 crore.
