Nita Ambani asserted that culture is not just a reflection of who we are but a powerful tool to shape who we become. The JioStar chairperson said she is an eternal believer in the power of the Indian culture.

"Let our Amar Chitra Kathas be the next Harry Potters. Let our epics - Ramayana and Mahabharata - light up the silver screens of the world. Let our stories inspire generations to come ... because culture is not just a reflection of who we are. It is, in fact, a powerful tool to shape who we become," she said at the World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025.

Nita Ambani was delivering the keynote address on 'Taking Indian Culture to the World' at the four-day summit being held at the Jio World Centre in Mumbai.

"In a world building virtual reality, let us also embrace spiritual reality. In a world obsessed with speed, let us also remember the value of stillness. In a world racing towards artificial intelligence, let us not lose the wisdom of the original AI - 'ancient intelligence'," she added.

Calling herself a dreamer and a passionate artist, Nita Ambani said, "To every artist, animator, writer, designer, musician, filmmaker, policymaker, I speak to you as storytellers of India's tomorrow ... as modern ambassadors of India's heritage. I want to remind you - you're not just telling the story, you ARE the story".

The time has come for the Indian culture not just to inspire the world but also transform it and make it a better place to live in - for all humanity, the JioStar chairperson added.

Inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi on May 1, WAVES is a first-of-its-kind event witnessing a plethora of keynote speakers from various walks of life. The summit is held under the tagline 'Connecting Creators, Connecting Countries' and aims to establish India as an entertainment and creative innovation hub.

While addressing WAVES, the Prime Minister on Thursday said the event is a wave of culture, creativity and universal connection. He urged the youth  to tell their "1 billion untold stories to the world".

"WAVES is a global platform that belongs to every artist and creator — a space where every artist, every youth will connect with the creative world through new ideas...When a new sun rises it gives colour to the sky, WAVES Summit from the beginning is shining. The summit has attracted global attention," PM Modi added.
