The stock had made a 52-week high of ₹4,440 in intraday trading. It also announced a "significant" order win of up to ₹2,500 crore earlier in the day.

However, the sell-off in tech companies promoted by L&T have had an impact on shares of the conglomerate as well. The sell-off seen in shares of both L&T Technology Services (LTTS) and LTIMindtree (LTM) has resulted in the cumulative value of L&T's stake in both companies fall by nearly ₹50,000 crore.

L&T Technology Services (LTTS) and LTIMindtree (LTM) have both witnessed significant selling pressure in the first two months of 2026, in-line with the sell-off seen in other IT stocks over concerns surrounding the potential disruption to their business models due to Artificial Intelligence.

Shares of LTTS are already down 28% in the first two months of the year. The last instance it fell such a quantum was back in 2022, when it fell 34% in the full year. LTIMindtree's shares have also declined over 25% so far in 2026, making it among the worst performers on the Nifty IT index. The stock had declined 40% back in 2022.

L&T has a 68.53% stake in LTIMindtree. Back on December 31 last year, that stake was valued at well over ₹1.2 lakh crore. At the current market price, that stake is valued at just over ₹91,000 crore. That is a loss of over ₹30,000 crore in just two months.

Shares of LTTS, which are down 8% on Tuesday, also has L&T holding 73.58% stake in the company at the end of the December quarter.

At the end of the December quarter, L&T's stake in LTTS was valued at close to ₹35,000 crore, which has now declined to below ₹25,000 crore after the sell-off seen in the first two months of the year.
