The official buyers and sellers of the transaction are not yet known.

Promoters of MAS Financial Services had a 66.33% stake in the company at the end of the March quarter this year.

Among the public shareholders, India's Mutual Funds had a 12.86% stake, with prominent holders being Axis MF (2.01%), Bandhan MF (3.9%) and Nippon Life India MF (5.29%).

Alternate Investment Funds (AIFs) have a 6.69% stake in the company, while retail shareholders, or those with authorised share capital of up to ₹2 lakh, had a 6.81% stake.

MAS Financial had reported a net profit of ₹80.8 crore in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2025. This was 18.7% more than the previous year's ₹68 crore.

Its net interest income in the March quarter increased 33.8% to ₹224.5 crore from ₹167.8 crore in the year-ago period.

In May 2025, the company's chairman and managing director Kamlesh Gandhi had told CNBC-TV18 that the firm's priority would be on maintaining asset quality.

He said net interest margins (NIMs) are to be in the range of 6.75%-7.25%.

Gandhi said the company has grown in a calibrated manner in the microfinance segment. He added that pain in micro-enterprises can last for one to two quarters.

MAS Financial Services gained 3% to ₹316.5 apiece at 9.40 am. The stock has gained over 16% this year, so far.
