JSW MG Motor Price Hike: Automobile manufacturer JSW MG Motor India on Thursday, December 18, announced a price hike across all its products. The company said this is a marginal price increase of up to a maximum of 2 per cent, effective January 1, 2026. However, the increase in the rates will vary as per model and variant.
MG Motor, in a release, cited rising input costs and other macroeconomic factors as the reason for this price hike.

The price hike has been announced two weeks after the company released year-on-year wholesale sales growth figures. In the report, MG Motor India announced that it achieved a 32 per cent year-on-year (YTD) wholesales growth during January-November 2025, compared to a lower growth in the same period of CY 2024. Additionally, the company sold 5754 units in November 2025.
On a separate note, JSW MG Motor launched the all-new MG Hector in India on December 15 at a starting price of Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Available in two new colour options, the car features new front and rear bumper designs, an all-new grille design and new alloy wheels. Along with that, the 5-seater variant gets a dual-tone Ice Grey theme interior, while the 6 and 7-seater variants get a dual-tone Urban Tan theme interior.
It also gets other features like remote AC control and a fully digital instrument cluster with a 17.78 cm embedded LCD screen. It is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine (CVT and MT) that produces 143 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. In terms of safety, the 2026 Hector comes with standard features like ABS, EBD, ESP, TCS, hill hold control, and brake assist, along with a 360° HD camera with a front wheel view.
